SWELL Project

Jaytex Construction is excited to announce the team will commence work on the new Swimming, Wellness, Events, Leisure and Lifestyle (SWELL) centre later this month. With the project set for completion in early November 2023, the construction company will strengthen its ties with the Territory and local government bodies by bringing this project to fruition.

The $19.4M project, is the largest ever construction project for the City of Palmerston. Funded by the NT Government and the City of Palmerston, with financial contribution from the Federal government, will provide the growing Palmerston community with a contemporary and family-friendly water and lifestyle precinct.

In keeping with Palmerston council’s positioning vision “a place for people”, will see Jaytex refurbish the 50-metre pool, build a toddlers play pool, two-storey adventure playground, events area, basketball court, new and improved amenities, and café. To give the growing families of Palmerston a fantastic lifestyle and wellness hub that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Investing in the local community and their people, will see Jaytex create upwards of 100 local jobs across the lifetime of the project. Providing the Palmerston community to make their shared home a better place and continue to develop their local economy.

With initial works on the project kicking off in late August, Jaytex are excited to get started on the aquatic upgrade, that is an integral part of Palmerston and its community.
