Jaytex Awarded Frontier Marine Services Project

Construction is now underway for Darwin-based Frontier Marine Services’ (FMS) new head office. Awarded the project earlier this year, Jaytex Construction will build a 550 square metre complex in Berrimah Industrial Estate to support the significant growth of FMS services.

Established in 2009, with what began as a business servicing the local recreational boats of the Darwin community has grown to become a dedicated, highly specialised marine electrical company. That now services recreational, commercial and defence vessels of all shapes and sizes in order to meet the demands of the Northern Territory’s maritime industry.

The highly trained team of Australia’s best electricians, electronics and communications technicians, auto electricians, apprentices, AMSA-qualified masters and support staff, now deliver high-quality solutions to any vessel, whether that be a three-metre tinny, 220-metre cargo ship or large defence vessel. Their supply, installation, maintenance and urgent defect rectification services of marine electrical systems, ensure their customer’s safety when navigating the waterways of Northern Australia.

Having now grown to levels owners, Dave and Leanne Pears never imagined, Frontier Marine Services has been sold to a major national company, Marine Technicians Australia. The purchase has not only accelerated and expanded the capabilities of FMS but safe-guarded their commitment to supporting and servicing the Territory’s maritime community.

The continued dedication of the FMS service team to the NT will continue for years to come. With the company now able to increase their capacity and capabilities from their new head office, Jaytex is currently building.
