Jaytex Construction Takes Out Excellence in Building & Construction Award 2022
In late August 2022, Master Builders NT held the annual Master Builders’ Excellence in Building and Construction (EBC) Awards, where Jaytex Construction took out the Education Facility Award for our work on the Haileybury Rendall International Boarding School.
The Jaytex team were bought on to demolish the existing boarding house (Galangwa) and design and construct a brand new facility that had the capacity to accommodate up to 60 students.
After engaging with the Haileybury staff and students, the team developed a new high-spec building that was secure, modern and gave a sense of calmness that would ensure the students felt safe and at home when boarding each term.
Developing four wings and living quarters, including a shared ‘breakout’ area known as the arcade. Which we fitted out with a kitchen, living area with TVs, wellness room plenty of seating and games, ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy. All of which was fitted out with an inobtrusive security system that would keep the students and staff safe.
Outside, the team used a combination of external cladding and lighting to give the building an air of sophistication and added to the tranquillity with the inclusion of the basketball court, BBQs and landscaping.
Thank you to Master Builders NT for recognising the hard work, careful consideration and dedication of the Jaytex team to develop a brand new state-of-the-art education facility. We had a great night celebrating the best of building and construction in the Northern Territory with over 750 key industry players, under the stars of Mindil Beach Casino Resort.
